Brooklands Hotel fire John Johnson Hunt

On 5 July 1909, brave firefighter John Johnson Hunt lost his life in a fire at the Brooklands Hotel in Sale. A Red Plaque was unveiled today, 28/10/2022 for him. The Red Plaque (similar to the Blue Plaque) is for firefighters lost in the line of duty.

In this video, we learn about firefighting techniques and equipment of the day, visit Fireground, learn about amazing rescues, and learn the amazing story of John Johnson Hunt.
